SHUKUROV AXMEDJAN

sergeant, participant in World War II, Hero of the Soviet Union (March 24, 1945).

 

He was born on June 5, 1909 in the village of Shavardi, Fergana region. He served in the Red Army from 1931 to 1933 and from August 1942. From September 1942 he served in World War II.
In August 1943, in a battle for a village in the Orlov region, he destroyed five enemy firing points.
By the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of August 27, 1943, he was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union “for exemplary performance of combat duties, courage and heroism in the fight against Nazi invaders on the front.”
He returned to his homeland. He died on May 14, 1990.
