Born on October 23, 1903 in the village of Demshina, Andogsky volost, Cherepovets district of the Novgorod province, now Kaduy district of the Vologda region, in a peasant family. Russian. He graduated only from a two-year church-parish school.
In 1925 he was drafted into the Red Army. For five years he served in the 30th Cherepovets Construction Regiment. After the service he returned home.
In December 1942 he was again drafted into the army. The military unit to which he was assigned was formed in the Samarkand region. The first his battle, as well as a wound, was received in the Kalmyk steppes.
With his unit went with battles the way from Elista to Rostov-on-Don, stormed Perekop. During an attack by enemy fortifications, he replaced the deceased squad leader and led his comrades into a melee attack. Personally destroyed two Nazis, but he himself was seriously injured.
For this battle he received his first military award – the medal «For Military Merit». After the hospital, he was enrolled in the 33rd Guards Sevastopol Division, which in July 1944 became part of the 3rd Baltic Front.
With this part he went to the Victory. On July 26, 1944, in the battle for the village of Kreken (south-west of the city of Panevezys, Lithuania), reflecting the enemy’s counterattack, he was wounded, but did not leave the battlefield before completing the task.
By order of the commander of the 33rd Guards Rifle Division of August 20, 1944, he was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.
On October 10, 1944, in a battle in the vicinity of the village of Novye Mesto (Nauyamestis, Lithuania), he was the first to reach enemy firing positions, eliminated machine guns and 5 Nazis with grenades. The battalion rose to attack and burst into the village.
By order of the 2nd Guards Army on December 12, 1944, he was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.
On January 29, 1945, in the battles near the of Nesselbek (now north of the city of Kaliningrad), taking the fighters behind him, he was one of the first to burst into the enemy’s trench, hit more than 10 infantrymen from the machine gun and captured a machine gun. He gave his unit the opportunity to seize the enemy’s borders.
This battle was the last for Nerobov, he was seriously wounded and sent to the rear for treatment. The brave warrior caught up with his company on May 8 in the town of Pillau in East Prussia.
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of April 19, 1945 «For exceptional courage, courage and fearlessness in battles with the Nazi invaders», the guard Junior Sergeant Nerobov Alexander Trofimovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree.
In August 1945, A.T. Nerobov was demobilized. He returned to his native village. Two years later, at the end of the war, he was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree.
He lived in the city of Cherepovets. He died in 1992.
