Born on February 1, 1920 in the village of Taysugan, now Almetyevsk district, in a working class family. Tatar. Graduated from grade 4. He worked on a collective farm. In the Red Army since March 1942.
At the front of World War II since April 1942. He began his military career on the North-Western Front. He was repeatedly injured. On August 20, 1944, by gunner of the anti-aircraft machine-gun company of the 54th Guards Tank Brigade (7th Guards Tank Corps, 3rd Guards Tank Army, 1st Ukrainian Front) was shot down a bomber Junkers-87 during an air raid in the area west of the city of Sandomierz (Poland). During the reflection of the raid, he was wounded, but after bandaging again returned and continued to fire, repelling the attacks of enemy aircraft.
On August 25, 1944, the Red Army guard Salakhutdinov Garafutdin Salakhutdinovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.
On January 16, 1945, in the vicinity of the city of Czestochowa (Poland), he shot down a Focke-Wulf-190 type aircraft. In the course of advancing to the city of Czestochowa, he destroyed about ten Nazis with anti-aircraft machine gun fire.
On February 1, 1945, by order of the 3rd Guards Tank Army of the Guard, Corporal Salakhutdinov Garafutdin Salakhutdinovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.
On April 20, 1945, the 54th Guards Tank Brigade marched in the direction of the city of Dresden (Germany). Suddenly, a massive raid of enemy aircraft was carried out on a moving column of brigade tanks. Anti-aircraft guns opened fire on fascist bombers. Three planes were shot down, but one Focke-Wulf-190 broke through to the convoy. He from a machine gun set it on fire. On April 22, 1945, during the liberation of the village of Witstock (west of the city of Dresden, Germany), he killed over ten infantrymen from a machine gun and, together with the calculation, captured many enemy soldiers.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of June 27, 1945, Corporal Salakhutdinov Garafutdin Salakhutdinovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree “For courage, bravery and heroism shown in the fight against the Nazi invaders of the guard”.
In 1945 he returned to his homeland. In 1947 he came back to the village of “Uzgarysh” (Tashkent region). He worked on a collective farm.
He died on December 19, 1975.
