Born on October 23, 1922 in the village of Kunya-Urgench, Kunya-Urgench district, Tashauz region of Turkmenistan, in a working class family. Kazakh.
In the Red Army since 1941. On the fronts of World War II since April 1942. On April 20, 1945, commander of the gun crew of the 101st Guards Fighter-Anti-Tank Artillery Regiment, guards staff sergeant Alimbay Amanbaev near the city of Greifenhagen, commanding the gunshot crew entrusted to him, incapacitated two machine guns and eliminated up to a dozen enemy soldiers, which helped Oder River and gain a foothold on its left bank. By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of June 7, 1968, “For exemplary fulfillment of command assignments in battles with the Nazi invaders”, the staff sergeant of the reserve, Amanbaev Alimbay, was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree.
In 1946, A. Amanbaev was demobilized. Lives in the city of Nukus. Before leaving for a well-deserved rest, he worked as a mechanic in the Office of Mechanized Works. He was awarded the orders of the October Revolution, World War II 1st and 2nd degree, Red Star, Glory 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree, medals.
