Born on April 4, 1923 in the village of Sokovninka, now in the Borsky district of the Samara region, in a peasant family. Russian. He graduated from 8 classes.
He lived in Uzbekistan. In 1941 he graduated from the 6-month courses of the Tashkent College. He worked as a senior surveyor technician, dispatcher of the Raivodkhoz in the city of Kasan, Kashkadarya region. In December 1941, he was drafted into the Red Army and enrolled as a cadet at the Oryol Military Infantry School, which was evacuated in the city of Chardzhou (Turkmenistan). But he didn’t finish his studies.
In August 1942, he was sent from the school to the Orenburg region, where the 333rd Infantry Division was formed. At the front since October 1942. He fought on the South-Western, Western and 1st Belorussian fronts.
By the fall of 1944, Senior Sergeant Emelyanov was an assistant commander of a foot reconnaissance platoon of the 207th Infantry Regiment of the 76th Infantry Division. He particularly distinguished himself in the battles for the liberation of Poland.
On September 14, 1944, Senior Sergeant Emelyanov was one of the first to travel to the outskirts of Warsaw (Poland), equipped an observation post and provided valuable information to the command within 2 days.
By order of the 76th Infantry Division of September 20, 1944, Senior Sergeant Emelyanov Alexander Dmitrievich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.
On January 18-19, 1945, during the offensive with the crossing of the Vistula River and access to the area of Plock (Poland) by January 20, Senior Sergeant Emelyanov repeatedly obtained valuable intelligence, opened the fire system in the enemy’s defense.
By order of the 47th Army on February 9, 1945, Senior Sergeant Emelyanov Alexander Dmitrievich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.
On February 8-11, 1945, during the breakthrough of enemy defenses on the outskirts of the city of Deutsch-Kron (Walcz, Poland), senior sergeant Yemelyanov, with a platoon, was among the first to burst into the enemy trench, and revealed a fire system at a strong point, which contributed to a successful attack. During the battle, 12 Nazis were captured.
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated May 31, 1945 “For exemplary performance of command assignments in battles against Nazi invaders”, the guard sergeant Emelyanov Alexander Dmitrievich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree.
After the war, he continued to serve in the army, in the military units of the Volga Military District, in Hungary and in Austria (Central Group of Forces).
In October 1955, Captain Emelyanov was sacked. He returned to his homeland. He lived in the city of Snezhinsk. He died on August 8, 1992.
