MIRZOYEV TOXTASIN

He was born in 1913 in the village of Marhamat (now Andijan region of the Republic of Uzbekistan) in a peasant family. He received primary education. He worked at the machine-tractor station on the collective farm.
In 1942 he was drafted into the Red Army by the Marhamat Regional Military Commissariat. Participated in World War II since 1943. He showed himself crossing the Dnieper and holding the occupied platsdarm.
On October 3, 1943, in the battle for the 160.7-meter height southwest of the village of Mishurin Rog (Verkhnedneprovskiy district of Dnepropetrovsk region), Guardsman Mirzayev, attacking the fighters, was the first to break into the heights and destroy the enemy machine guns. Elevation is taken, the soldiers repel more than 10 Nazi attacks and maintain their positions. In one of the ensuing battles, Mirazev went missing.
By the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of December 20, 1943, Red Army Guard soldier Mirzayev Tukhtasin was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union “For his contribution and courage in crossing the Dnieper and expanding the position on the right bank.”
